Jamal has completed a Bachelor of Human Sciences, followed by the Doctor of Physiotherapy at Macquarie University.

 

Through placement completing hospital based, sports trainer roles with rugby teams and work health safety placement gaining substantial experience managing individuals’ pain and assisting in achieving goals to improve overall quality of life.

 

In Hospital setting Jamal has worked in acute orthopaedic assisting with early rehabilitation and post operative management.  Neurological rehabilitation assisting individuals to return to functional tasks, identifying impairment and providing evidence-based rehabilitation within multiple conditions such as strokes, Parkinson’s disease and more.

Further experience within hospital setting as part of general medicine complete thorough initial assessment for multiple conditions including back pain and providing evidence-based management with personalised interventions.

In addition, managing older population admission assisting with fall prevention strategies and ongoing education individualised exercise programs to manage chronic and complex pain.

 

Jamal utilises thorough assessment to identify impairment to incorporate rehabilitation, education of preventative/self-management strategies for prevention of re-injury. Jamal has a passion for working with patients to assist individuals in their recovery and achieving their goals to improve their overall quality of life.
